Focused Litigator
T. Foster Haselden has focused his legal career on commercial litigation with a particular emphasis on labor and employment litigation, advice, and counseling. Foster has broad labor and employment experience on a host of issues with a particular concentration on matters involving the FLSA, FMLA, ADAAA, ADEA, Title VII, trade secrets, and wrongful terminations. He has provided training for employers on E-Verify, the FLSA, and the ADAAA. Foster joined Bettis Law Group LLP in 2014 after practicing with a labor and employment boutique firm in Washington, DC and a regional full-service firm.
Former Special Assistant, U.S. Dept. of Labor
Prior to entering private practice, Foster served as the Special Assistant to the Wage and Hour Administrator at the U.S. Department of Labor and as an Attorney-Advisor at the U.S. Department of Defense Office of General Counsel. He began his legal career as a law clerk to the Honorable Terry L. Wooten, United States District Judge for the District of South Carolina.
Foster is a graduate of Davidson College, where he was the Student Body President and a three-time class president. He earned his law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where he was the Associate Editor-In-Chief for the Southeastern Environmental Law Journal, the Contracts Tutor for first year students, and received the Sheppard Kollock Nash Scholarship. Foster is member of the South Carolina, North Carolina, and the District of Columbia Bars.
